Concert: Sunday, September 7
Scottish singer Jim Malcolm
Well known as the voice of the band "Old Blind Dogs" for several years, Jim Malcolm now tours solo with his guitar, harmonica and a songbag full of traditional and original material.
His latest album, released in 2007, is called Acquaintance and is 14 tracks of the stories and songs of Robert Burns.
My personal favorite album, though, is Live in Glenfarg, which shows off his breadth of talent as a traditional Scots singer and a lyrical, poignant and darn funny songwriter.
Concert venue:
Unity Center of Columbia
Showtime 7:00 p.m.
Tickets: $14 / $12 for CMCAA members
